St Albans Catholic High School choir sings with Trianon

Pupils from St Albans Catholic High School in Ipswich will perform Mass of the Children.

John Rutter’s Mass of the Children charts a day in the life of a child.   First performed in 2013, young people, adult singers and players all combine to sing the traditional Latin and Greek Mass text interwoven with several English poems.

There are five movements in the piece:  The Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus and Benedictus, Agnus Dei and the Finale.  First performed on 13 February 2003 in New York’s Carnegie Hall, Trianon’s version will include solo performances by local mezzo-soprano Muriel Kwint and baritone Tim Gillott.
