January concert to raise money for Ipswich Mayor’s charities

Every year Trianon supports local charities through fundraising activities and we have chosen to support the Mayor of Ipswich’s charities with pre-concert busking at our January concert!

Trianon – on the Bright Side takes place on 9 January at the Ipswich Corn Exchange at 7.30pm.  Pop along early and enjoy our singers and instrumentalists in pre-concert busking from 6.40pm.

The Town Hall Cafe, which is run by Realise Futures, will be open and serving refreshments so you can enjoy a  drink before the show starts.

We are proud to be supporting the Ipswich Mayor’s charities, which are Suffolk Mind and the Ipswich Hospital Sunrise Appeal.

Suffolk Mind Chair of Trustees says:

“Mental health and wellbeing are increasingly talked about in our everday lives and there is wider recognition that they are relevant to all of us.  Suffolk Mind continues to play an integral part in building mental wellbeing resilience for everyone in Suffolk.  We strive to deliver high quality services and to develop new ones that address unmet needs.”

The Ipswich Hospital Sunrise appeal is raising money to help with facilities for children.

The wish-list for the major new appeal has been drawn up by doctors and nurses:

  • £8,000 could refurnish the parent bay in the Neonatal Unit, allowing parents to comfortably sleep over and be close to their baby.
  • £2,000 could buy a new wall mounted cardiac monitor for the children’s ward for continuous monitoring of young patients’ hearts.
  • £1,500 could buy a neopuff – a resuscitation device that blends oxygen and air, giving constant and gentle pressure that is much easier on fragile airways of little patients.
  • £20 could buy new bedding for a paediatric bed, making the child’s stay more homely.

Do come along and enjoy the show!
